1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using KeyHabit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use KeyHabit for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use KeyHabit on Macs that you own or control. The license is for one person. You may not share your license key or activation code, resell the app, distribute copies, or include it in a product or service you offer to others.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it. You may not remove or alter proprietary notices.

3. Free trial

KeyHabit includes a 30-day trial with every feature enabled. After the trial, a 3-day grace period follows, after which remapping stops until a valid activation code is entered. Your settings and license state are preserved throughout. The trial is intended to let you evaluate the app before buying; creating repeated trials to avoid payment is not permitted.

4. Purchases and activation

Purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing, and applicable taxes. Prices are shown before checkout.

After purchase you receive a license key by email. You can exchange it for an activation code on the redemption page by entering the key together with the email address you used at checkout, then enter that code in the app. Activation codes are verified offline and do not expire. Keep your code in a safe place; you may redeem the same license key again on another Mac.

We may deactivate a license in the event of fraud, chargeback, or a material breach of these terms. If you believe a deactivation is a mistake, contact support.

5. Refunds

If KeyHabit does not work for you, contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a refund. Refunds are issued through Creem to the original payment method. Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

6. Updates and changes

A lifetime license does not expire and includes updates to version 1.x. We may release a future major version as a separate purchase; existing customers will be offered preferential pricing if that happens. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will be added, and we may discontinue the app, though existing activation codes will continue to work with released versions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use KeyHabit in violation of any law, to interfere with the security of the app or its servers, or to attempt to obtain activation codes without a valid purchase.

8. Disclaimer of warranty

KeyHabit is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. KeyHabit changes how keyboard and mouse events are delivered; you are responsible for reviewing the settings and for any effect on your workflows.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app or this website. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the license in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the seller is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence still apply. Any dispute should first be raised with us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future versions of the app or website. The date above will change, and material changes will be described on this page. Terms in effect when you purchased a license continue to govern that purchase unless you agree to an update.
